When a child is reported missing, the information is made available to a local police station, typically in the local city or community where the child is missing frorm, a local search is conducted and this search will extend out to neighboring cities and from there to the provincial, national and lastly international level. It is up to parents and police officers to contact Pakchild to upload the details of recent missing child case information. In additional, volunteers with Pakchild are constantly surfing the newspapers and Internet, offering assistance to parents, police officers and others who are searching for their missing loved ones. As we all know that missing children is a growing problem in Pakistan.
We all know that missing children is a global problem and parents of one missing child will keep searching for their child throughout their lives. By launching this web portal we are trying to highlighting this issue in Pakistan and in our region. Our country is under the process of development, and in this process many international organizations / NGOs are working with us. Most of these NGO’s are working for better future of children, child right, juvenile justice, child health etc. But the issue of missing children is neglected, everybody knows that how many children go lost every year but no one has proper database or any mean of finding a child especially when he is moved to other city. For Example if a child has been kidnapped / abducted from one city and moved to another city, no one will recognize missing children by viewing his / her photograph. Another aim for this portal is that this will also minimize the ratio of child trafficking and child prostitution in our region which is another huge and complicated issue. This is an individual effort which seriously requires encouragement and support from Government of Pakistan, Law Enforcement Agencies, public & private sectors, commercial, national and international organizations.

This is a national cause which will be resulting in sending back the found children to right home instead of Government camps or child homes because Police will be able to consult this online database at any time.
